Water Neutral offset calculator

To demonstrate the concept's viability post WSSD, water neutral has developed the water neutral calculator; this is a science based individual water footprint calculator which quantifies the volumes of water used to produce goods by a traveller/tourist visiting Southern Africa on a daily basis whilst on holiday or business. The calculator is linked to a tool that calculates the offset price necessary for each unit of water footprint. Professor Arjen Hoekstra and Dr Ashok Chapagain have developed the scientific basis of water neutrality for individuals and the concept is currently being developed further to cater for business, industry and other organizations keen to address the global water challenge through meaningful innovative approaches.
